Halloween

For Halloween I went to see Paranormal Activity with my boyfriend. I didn't have the money to buy a costume this year, but still wanted to do something. The movie was good, I really liked it. Although I didn't find it scary. It was suspenseful and more believable then other horror movies. Some of the people in the theater were getting kind of scared though. I read that a 2nd movie was already announced. I will probably see that when it comes out, but I hope it's good like the first one.

I was hoping to go to Rehmeyer's Hollow today but it's getting to late now. Maybe in a few weeks, hopefully. I would have love to gone to the Hollow on Halloween though. Anyway, I really wanted to do more today but at least I did a little something and next year I'm going to dress up.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Revolutionary Girl Utena Costume

I want this costume. On this website it costs $79.99, but I would love to dress up as Utena for Halloween. Although it's to late to even try this year. So, I think next year I'm going to try for this costume, but I don't think I'll buy it online. I'll just buy some red shorts and get a jacket and try to make the jacket like hers myself. I'll have to get a pink wig too.

To bad I can't dress up like Utena this year, but I'm really looking forward to next year now that I've decided my costume.

I won this book from a book giveaway on Goodreads and this is the 2nd time I have won a book giveaway from Goodreads. The first book I won was Evermore by Alyson Noel and I was just so excited to just win a book. I'm excited this time too. I got the book in the mail on Monday, but haven't started to read it yet. I'm going to start reading it once I finish all the InuYasha mangas from the library. Well, once I read this book I'll write a review and post it on here.

Sorry!

Sorry for not posting lately. I'm on my Xanga blog a lot more and I've gotten two featured posts this month so I've been busy replying to comments and writing posts. Finally I have time to post on here though.

Besides blogging I have been reading and writing my book. I need to get back to writing my book more, but I know I will have the first book in the series finished by the end of this year. I'm currently reading Hex by Arthur H. Lewis and it is interesting, I am finding out a lot of information I never knew about Rehmeyer's Hollow.

Today I went to the library and returned most of the books I borrowed -- still have a few to read -- and borrowed some more books, but they were just graphic novels and I easy read all within a couple days. I bought a few books from the library's book store. I got Ghosthunters And The Totally Moldy Baroness! by Cornelia Funke and The Gathering Dark by Christopher Golden. I'm going to have to get the rest of the Ghosthunter series eventually.

Well, I'll post as soon as I can. Now I'm going to write a book review on Goodreads.

Book Review: ClockWork or All Wound Up

Clockwork: Or All Wound Up

Clockwork or All Wound Up
By Philip Pullman

Karl is an apprentice clockmaker and soon the day is coming where his apprenticeship comes to an end. Karl is to make a figure to put in the clock for all to see. All clockmakers have done so before him, but the problem is he has failed and doesn't have a figure to put in the clock. One night while at the Inn, Karl and the other people from town are there to listen to the local writer, Fritz. The towns people love listening to the stories Fritz writes. This night something happens, something no one would think would happen. A character from Fritz' story is real! And apparently is there to help Karl.

This book is not exactly scary, but it is a bit creepy and strange so I think this is perfect for halloween. It is a small book, only a little over 100 pages long. Definitely a good story, a little strange and quite interesting. I know I was a little surprised at parts. If your looking for a quick read this is a good book.

I met Paranormal State!

So I went to Halloween Park. It was my first time there, had never even heard of Halloween Park before I saw the billboard in my town about it. My boyfriend and I got there before 7, it was supposed to start at 7. Picked up our tickets, went inside the building and bought a few pictures for Paranormal State to sign. We sat in the back, on a couch because all the seats near the stage were taken.

The couch was big and comfy though so it wasn't really a problem. We sat and waited, watching people come through the building to go to the House of Doom. We waited awhile before Paranormal State got there. They were about a half an hour late, but once they got to Halloween Park the Q & A session started right away. Ryan Buell and the other members on show were answering questions that the people asked. I didn't ask any questions, although I should have. I wanted to know about the books that Ryan Buell is writing and the movie that is supposed to be coming out. Ryan answered a question about what his first experience was that got him into ghost hunting and he didn't really say any. He did say it wasn't just one experience though and that he only ever shared one thing that happened to him when he was young. One thing that happened to him was when he was a kid and he was in his bed and he would see some kind of shadow thing and he would yell for him mom to come into the room.

There was so many questions and it would take a long time to type up all the answers. They were asked questions about the difference between black and white orbs, but they couldn't really say what the difference or the meaning of the different color orbs are. They were talking about some of the houses they visited to investagate there was nothing paranormal going on in the house. The house has stuff coming out of the walls and stuff growing on the floor. It turned out to be mold and they had it because they never cleaned the house. There was really a lot of stuff and it was interesting to hear what they had to say. Also I think I heard Ryan say that the new season of Paranormal State will come on in December. After the Q & A they started signing pictures and letting people take photos with them.
We didn't have to wait in line very long and we went up and got our pictures signed by everyone that was there. We got a picture with a few of the people from Paranormal State.

Picture of me and Marc with a few of the people from Paranormal State.

And here is the picture that was signed by everyone.

Last night was....exciting, I think that's the best word for it. I love Paranormal State, it is one of my favorite ghost shows and I've been wanting to meet all of them for a long time. They were so nice and down to earth, I really had a great time and I hope they come around here again so I could go and see them again.

Yesterday I went to bed early so I could get up and shower. I didn't get much sleep, I slept for 3 hours and woke up and wasn't tired anymore. So I just stayed, read 20th Century Ghosts by Joe Hill, made something to eat and showered and got ready to go. I got to my local library book sale right at 6PM. It was packed, but I wasn't surprised. What I was surprised by was the amount of books was there and they had many good books.

Here is what I got from the book sale:

Books:

Classic Books From The Library of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry by J.K. Rowling

Pokemon The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back by Tracey West

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit

Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine

Wishbone: The Halloween Joker by Anne Capeci

DVDs:

Quest For Camelot

Death Proof

And I got a few books for my boyfriend for christmas, but I won't list them here because I don't want him to know what I got him. Anyway, that's what I got at the book sale and I was hoping to find Tuck Everlasting I love that book! I was happy to find a copy. After that we went shopping a little and got some stuff for Halloween. A pumpkin carving kit, A few Halloween things to sit around, a pumpkin with a ghost painted on it, I got glow in the dark nail paint and a magazine with Victoria Beckham ( Posh Spice ) on it. So, that is everything, after shopping we came home. I also took pictures for you all to see everything I got. I figured I would list everything I got and add pictures as well. Here are the pictures:

And here is a few extra pictures of some of the Halloween stuff in my room:

I had fun today. I got some books I want, some Halloween stuff and now my nails glow in the dark! Today was awesome and now tomorrow is Paranormal State!
